Frequently Asked Questions...
How long will it take?
The turnaround time on your project will vary based on its complexity. Generally speaking, we will do everything we can to have an early concept for you within ten business days... usually sooner. The agreement we sign with you outlines specific timelines.

How much will it cost?
We believe you'll find our charges to be quite fair. Many small businesses find that they are well served by our budget-minded fixed price website plans. For work that is more customized, our charges are based on hourly fees. Most agreements begin with a minimum charge which includes all labor up to a certain point. After that point, labor is charged at an hourly rate, billable in quarter-hour increments. In some instances, we may quote you a flat fee instead of an hourly rate. Voiceover work is billed on a per-page basis. The agreement we sign with you outlines specific charges, rates, and minimums.

What about hidden fees?
We don't have any. For any project where we include a third party in the process (see "Will MPS host my website for me" and "Will MPS print my design for me" below), you'll know up front how much we expect those services to cost. We hate nasty surprises as much as you do... that's why we do everything we can to minimize them.

When will I have to pay?
Generally speaking, we require a certain amount of money down before we begin work on your project. After you approve a final design, we require the remainder of your amount due before we release the final work to you. In some cases of an extended project (multiple weeks or months), we may opt to require "progress payments" at certain points during the progression of the project. The agreement we sign with you will outline specific payment requirements.

What forms of payment does MPS accept?
We accept most forms of payment, including PayPal, credit cards, checks (subject to wait period for clearance), money orders, and good old fashioned cash. In some instances, at our sole discretion, we may agree to barter goods or services from you in exchange for our services to you, provided this has been agreed upon by both parties prior to our work commencing on your project. We regret that at this time, we are unable to accept livestock. (Just making sure you're awake).

What information does MPS need from me?
It depends on the type of project. In most cases, we just need simple information like the look you're going for, examples of designs you like and hate, etc. We can generally go from "nothing" if we need to, but we like to know what you're looking for ahead of time because it keeps the project shorter (which equals cheaper).

What kind of files will I get from MPS?
For graphic and logo projects, we'll provide you with JPGs, GIFs, PNGs, PSDs, AIs, EPSs, or other file types, based on what you're going to do with your design and what will work best for its intended use. For web design projects, your files will include various types such as HTML, PHP, ZIP, various graphic formats, and other file types required for the normal operation of your site. For voiceover projects, we typically provide broadcast-quality MP3 files, but can provide other types if needed.

How will I get my files?
All proofs and samples will be uploaded to a secure password-protected website that only you will be able to access. Once you approve the work, we'll upload final versions to that same site. In cases of web design, upon your request we can upload the finished project directly to your hosting provider.

Will MPS print my designs for me?
MPS does not have the facilities to print your business cards, t-shirts, brochures, etc. However, we do maintain a list of trusted, low-cost vendors and can assist you with placing your order. We are familiar with these vendors' technical requirements, and can design your project with that in mind.

Will MPS host my website for me?
Once we design your website, you'll need a domain (this is your www. address) and hosting (a place online to store your files so people visiting your site can access them). MPS does not provide web hosting or domain services, because we feel it is best for you to have full independent control over your sites with a company that is able to provide 24/7 monitoring and support. We typically recommend that our customers choose a hosting plan through a reputable third party. Don't worry... it's not as scary as it sounds! We will gladly provide suggestions on good companies to partner with and can even walk you through the process step-by-step. We happen to be an affiliate of GoDaddy and recommend them due to ease of use and frequently available discounts. (If you're wondering, GoDaddy is our hosting provider).

Will MPS edit music into my voiceover project?
Our fees are for "dry" audio with no music included. If you desire, we can assist you with purchasing and licensing copyright-cleared music to include in your project.

Is there any project MPS will decline?
We won't do anything that we think could get you or us sued. We reserve the right to refuse any project for any reason. Your agreement with us outlines specific rules regarding this.
